Texas man, Chris Kyle always wanted to become a rodeo cowboy but as he grew older, his life started to change. Chris wanted to do something different, something he was really good at.
Chris Kyle joined the Navy SEAL’s he specifically wanted to kill terrorists so he enrolled in sniper school. At which point, his talent really started to stand out. Once he was done with his training, he married his girlfriend Taya whom he had started the first tour in Iraq.
While he was in Iraq, everyone started to call him “The Legend” because of his pinpoint accuracy. His enemies feared him so much, they put a $180,000 reward on his head.
Everyone considered him a hero since he saved a lot of lives and had more shots than anyone else.
After four tours, he returned home and Chris had a hard time handling his past war experiences and then coming back home to his wife and two children. He had a hard time not because he had to kill people, but because he felt like he didn’t save as many people as he could have.
When Chris decided that he was done with the war, he started going to a veteran hospital to help the wounded. This helps him mentally because he begins to help more people every day.
This movie is based on a true story and is grim, purposeful, and compelling. It is one of the more tough-minded war movies and it is resolved by a real-life ending.
This film was a huge financial success and it is currently the third highest-grossing war movie in the United States.
