Diversity Club welcomes all students

Sage Santana

This school year looks bright for Diversity Club.  The relativity young club has kicked off the school year with a call out meeting, and big plans ahead of them.  Although the club is in  a bit of a crunch to complete their banner, and other Homecoming necessities, they are looking forward to participating in various activities and programs. Among these include school exchanges, fundraisers, and informing students here at Michigan City High School about unfamiliar cultures and customs, and how to coexist with them.  The club sponsor, Aaron Garrett, has aspirations for the club. Garrett looks forward  “To making the students of this school and community more aware of others unlike themselves.” However, when it comes to taking on the responsibility of  club sponsor, Garrett is excited for the unique perspective that this position offers. “I look forward to getting to know the students of this school from a perspective that is unlike that of a classroom setting.”

Anyone interested in joining Diversity Club can listen in to the morning announcements, or speak with club sponsor, Aaron Garrett, or
