Everyone is FALLing into pumpkin spice spirit

Suzanne Kaiser

Tis the season for pumpkin spice everything. Fa la la la la. Fa-fa-fa-fall.

As the fall season has come upon the world, so has the trend of pumpkin spice everything.

Pumpkin spice lattes? Yes. Pumpkin spice Oreos? Yes. Pumpkin spice lotion? Yes.

Pumpkin fever has once again swept the nation. For some bizarre reason, an abundance of people have become completely obsessed with the flavor.

One of the most popular pumpkin spice flavored things around town is Starbucks’s Pumpkin Spice Latte. With its succulent pumpkin-y richness, who would not want a taste of it?

Senior Emily Knouse has fallen ill to this fever. “I am ashamed that I have already had four pumpkin spiced things because it is only day four,” said Knouse.

Pumpkin coffee and cookies are relatively normal, however there are also some outrageous pumpkin flavored things. Some of these crazy products include the following: kale chips, lotion, cereal, yogurt, and tea.

But it is not just the apparently delicious flavor of pumpkin spice, it is also the other “basic” flavors of fall that have conquered the souls of so many young Americans.

It is apple. It is apple cinnamon. It is candy corn. It is pumpkin pie. It is the everything.

No matter which fall flavor is your forte, always remember to not over indulge oneself. If someone is seeking a healthy pumpkin spiced treat, one can always just pick up a fresh pumpkin and some cinnamon.

Happy fall.
