Get out and run

Staying active and fit is something that people always here about. Eat right. Exercise more. How about going for a run?

Running is ether extremely loved or hated. There seems to be no in-between, but perhaps there is a happy medium.

Daily running is not nearly as terrible as some people paint it to be. Running for health reasons is not like training for a marathon. It is like putting on running shoes and walking outside of the door.

Clearly running has it’s health benefits. According to a government website,, some of the many benefits of running include:

  • help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise.
  • strengthen muscles.
  • improve cardiovascular fitness.
  • burn plenty of kilojoules.
  • help maintain a healthy weight.

Not only does running help your health, it can also be fun. Michigan City is full of beautiful, safe places where anyone can run. Some of these places include Washington Park and by the lake and in Beach Walk.

Both of these places are absolutely stunning and fairly easy running courses.

If someone is bored, they can simply go out and run. Running is not as terrible as some people like to say that is. Whether a person wants to get in shape, or they just want to have some casual fun, they should go out and run.
