Los Angeles was filled with thousands of fans, hundreds of security officers, and several celebrities last night. The world premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens brought generations of families together for the new film installment. The Force Awakens, including its marketing, cost $350,000 and is expected to earn $2.5 billion from ticket sales. When Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4 billion, they assumed all the rights to all Star Wars films. Disney also has a tendency to spare no expense during movie productions and premieres.“The Force Awakens,” which a PG-13 rating, will begin its first run on Wednesday in France, Italy and nine other countries. Cinemas in Britain, Germany, Russia, Brazil and 14 additional territories, including Hong Kong, will begin playing the film on Thursday, with all other major markets, except mainland China, where “The Force Awakens” opens on January 9th.
