BCS Bowl

Three months of regular-season action and 40 bowl games are now in the rear view mirror as all that matters is Monday’s showdown between No. 1 Clemson and No. 2 Alabama for the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship. The 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship is the national championship game of the 2015 college season. It takes place on January 11, 2016 and is a competition between the Clemson tigers and the Alabama Elephants, who are also called the Crimson Tide. This BCS bowl is the second College football playoff Championship, in which the top four teams of the regular season have a small bracket in which the teams battle for the honor of the national title. The teams playing in the national championship are the winners of the two semifinal games. The Clemson tigers were 13-0 and the number one seed in the playoffs. The tigers played in the orange bowl against the Oklahoma sooners, the number four seed after the whole regular season came to an end. Clemson came out as winners of the Orange Bowl and ACC conference champs. Clemson beat the sooners 37-17 and the North Carolina Tar Heels who were 11-2 at the time, and were also ranked eight.  The Alabama Crimson Tide are the number two seed and the winners of the Cotton Bowl and SEC conference championships. The Crimson Tide decimated the Michigan State Spartans 38-0 in the cotton bowl classic.  The two teams have met 15 times already, with the Crimson Tide leading the series 12–3. They last played on August 30, 2008. People are getting ready for the biggest game of the year in college football, eager the experience what is sure to be a tremendous battle at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Even with Clemson’s 14-0 outstanding record, the majority of sports experts are placing their bets on the elephants after they battled Michigan State. When comparing the stats of Alabama and Clemson, you can tell that Alabama doesn’t have a great deal of momentum or the offensive power in the beginning of the game. The tigers will need to get a very early jump start and go right at the Crimson tide if they are to hold the lead when the final timer goes to zero. The Tigers have more points per game this year, but the Crimson Tide just might have the gusto to pull it away from the tigers. All things are lining up to be a crazy match-up with a much deserved winner.
