The Cityzen

Megan Grams: Sports Editor
For Megan Grams, writing is a way for her to express her thoughts and feelings. Grams is very passionate about her writing, whether it be journalistic or creative writing.  Writing is a pleasure and is therapeutic for her. She gets the most enjoyment from writing about current events around the world, and stories recognizing student athletes. Being able to express her thoughts and opinions is very important to her.  Journalism originally was not the route Grams wanted to go, but throughout her first year on staff, she become accustomed to and began to love the journalistic side of writing. Grams loves writing about sports and different features; this is where she finds herself most comfortable. This is Grams' second year on the Cityzen staff, and she is very excited for you to read her work in the Cityzen this year. With a year of journalistic writing under her belt, Grams is confident that her writing style has improved and is excited for what the year has in store. Grams' plan is to continue writing for the Cityzen for the rest of her high school career. Outside of newspaper, Grams is in multiple clubs and sports. She participates in bowling, softball, French Club, Steering Committee and Envirothon. The past two seasons on the bowling team, she made her mark in the state. She is a two-time all-conference honoree in bowling, she led her team to semi state freshman year, during her sophomore year she advanced to semi state in singles, and in her sophomore year she was in the top 10 for bowling average in the state. This past season Megan was a starting varsity pitcher for the Wolves softball team. Her season was highlighted with a home run. Grams hopes to join more clubs this school year and focus all her energy on school and sports.
